Alcrete Building Systems were approached by PCE to design, manufacture, deliver and install over a hundred precast units for Project Capella. Project Capella is the new six-storey laboratory building being constructed for the University of Cambridge. Due to be completed in 2018, the 190,000 sq ft facility has been designed to incorporate offsite methods of construction, making Alcrete an excellent choice to supply precast concrete units. The building is aiming for a BREEAM excellence rating, a prestigious accolade awarded to buildings with a high level of sustainable performance.
Alcrete Building Systems have so far supplied:
- 82 Precast Concrete Walls Panels
- 56 Core Units
These units have been designed to the highest standards to ensure optimal strength, energy performance and a factory-controlled, superior finish.
Project Capella will provide a new centre of excellence for leaders in their field to collaborate and exchange ideas, stimulating the development of new medical treatments.Posted by Alcrete Posted on 28 Mar 2017
